Duties Greet clients warmly and efficiently handle all front desk responsibilities, including appointment scheduling, check-in/check-out procedures, client inquiries, end of day closing procedures. Manage veterinary software systems to update patient records, process payments, and coordinate appointments with precision. Support veterinary staff by handling kennel duties, animal husbandry tasks, and animal restraint during examinations or procedures. Communicate clearly with clients regarding pet care instructions, upcoming treatments, or surgical procedures using veterinary terminology. Maintain compliance with Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) regulations and USDA guidelines related to medication handling and recordkeeping. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns promptly, offering pet care advice from the veterinarian, and ensuring a positive experience for every visitor. Skills Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, medical-surgical procedures, and companion animal medicine to effectively support clinical teams. Experience with laboratory procedures, veterinary critical care practices, and aseptic techniques to assist in diagnostic or treatment settings. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and veterinary software to streamline administrative tasks efficiently.
COMPUTER EFFICIENCY REQUIRED.
Hands-on experience with dog handling, animal restraint, kennel management, and pet care routines across various species including dogs, cats, and equines. Familiarity with animal anatomy knowledge, drug regulations (DEA), USDA standards, and veterinary clinic protocols to ensure compliance and safety. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, appointment coordination, and team collaboration within a busy veterinary environment. Background in animal husbandry, laboratory experience, or veterinary clinic experience is highly valued for this role.
