Job Description

Vacation Specialist Global Expeditions - 4.6 Bethlehem, PA Job Details Full-time $16 - $18 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid training Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) On-the-job training Vision insurance 401(k) matching Opportunities for advancement Life insurance Qualifications Customer relationship building No experience needed Research Attention to detail Prospecting Client interaction via phone calls Full Job Description Global Expeditions is growing, and we're looking for the right person to join our team. Travel experience is NOT required. We're looking for someone with exceptional customer service skills, confidence talking to people, strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the drive to become really good at what they do. We'll teach you the travel industry. This isn't a position where you'll be handed a training manual and left to figure it out. You'll work directly with the Global Expeditions team at our multi-million-dollar travel agency and be personally mentored while learning the business. You'll see firsthand how we qualify clients, build vacations, work with suppliers, overcome objections, service bookings, solve problems, create repeat business, and turn inquiries into long-term clients. You're learning from people who have actually built and grown a successful travel agency while working alongside them every day. What you'll do You'll be one of the first people our clients interact with, so this is an important role on our team. You'll answer incoming calls, talk with prospective clients, learn what they're looking for, research and prepare vacation quotes, follow up on inquiries, help clients through the booking process, make changes to existing reservations, and assist our clients before, during, and after travel. You'll also manage multiple clients and trips at different stages at the same time. This is a very fast-paced environment with a lot of moving parts and constant learning. Priorities can change quickly, so being organized, accurate, adaptable, and able to stay on top of details is extremely important. And yes — you need to be comfortable picking up the phone. We want someone who enjoys talking to people, can build relationships, and isn't afraid to follow up with a client. Who we're looking for You don't need to know the difference between Punta Cana and the Riviera Maya on day one. You DO need to be dependable, organized, extremely detail-oriented , comfortable with technology, willing to learn, great with people, and someone who follows through. Accuracy matters. Our clients are trusting us with their vacations and their money, so we need someone who double-checks their work, takes ownership, asks questions when they're unsure, and genuinely wants to improve. We're looking for someone who sees an opportunity to build a career. A little reality about working in travel Yes, there are some pretty amazing travel perks that come with being part of this industry. But this isn't a "travel for fun" job. It's a fast-moving career that requires constant learning, problem-solving, customer service, attention to detail, and a willingness to keep growing. For the right person, that's also what makes it so rewarding. Benefits include a 401(k) with company match after two years, along with opportunities to experience the travel industry firsthand. If you've ever wanted to get into the travel industry, this is an opportunity to learn it from inside a successful agency while being personally mentored by the people who built it. If that sounds like you, we'd love to talk. Send us your resume along with a little about yourself and why you think you'd be a great fit for Global Expeditions.
