Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive service team! In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your enthusiasm, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication skills will drive customer satisfaction and ensure smooth service operations. You will coordinate between customers and our skilled technicians, providing expert guidance on vehicle needs while promoting additional services to enhance customer experience. Duties Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document service requests. Explain repair procedures and estimated costs clearly, utilizing estimating software to generate detailed work orders. Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, suspension work, or transmission diagnostics to maximize customer value. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of services. Provide regular updates to customers regarding their vehicle status and address any questions or concerns professionally. Write detailed service reports and maintain accurate records of all transactions, including cash handling when applicable. Use automotive diagnostics tools and computer-aided estimating systems to assess vehicle issues accurately and recommend appropriate solutions. Experience Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in an automotive service management role within a dealership or independent repair shop. Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, collision repair, and general vehicle maintenance procedures. Hands-on experience with estimating software and auto estimating tools for accurate job costing. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and confidently. Knowledge of automotive repair specialties such as brakes, shocks & struts, suspension systems, transmissions, oil changes, tire service, and auto service writing. Previous experience working with dealership standards or collision repair environments is highly desirable. $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
