Weekday and Saturday shifts About the Position Eighty Four Agway is looking for a dependable, organized team member who enjoys physical work and helping customers. The Warehouse & Customer Service Associate keeps merchandise moving accurately through our warehouse, prepares customer and delivery orders, maintains clean and organized product areas, and helps customers load their purchases. This position includes forklift operation and propane filling after training and authorization. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Both full-time and part-time applicants will be considered. Saturday availability is required, but we will work with employees to create a flexible Saturday schedule. Pay is based on relevant experience, availability, assigned responsibilities and completed equipment or safety training. Primary Responsibilities Customer Service and Order Fulfillment Provide prompt, friendly loading assistance to customers. Gather, verify and stage customer pickup, transfer and delivery orders. Check item numbers and quantities before merchandise leaves the store. Help customers with carts, feed bags, bulk products and other purchases. Answer basic customer questions and connect customers with the appropriate team member when additional assistance is needed. Package merchandise for shipment and assist with store transfers or local deliveries when assigned. Receiving and Inventory Safely unload incoming merchandise. Check shipments against receiving documents and report discrepancies. Identify and properly stage customer special orders. Label, document, locate and store incoming products. Restock showroom shelves and organize overflow merchandise. Report damaged, missing, low-stock and out-of-stock products to management. Help maintain accurate records of merchandise entering and leaving the warehouse. Warehouse Organization and Safety Keep the warehouse, loading areas and workspaces clean, safe and organized. Maintain logical product locations so merchandise can be found quickly. Sweep work areas, break down boxes and dispose of materials properly. Inspect damaged bags and packaging and follow store procedures for repair or disposal. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment only after completing required training and authorization. Fill customer propane cylinders after completing required training and authorization. Immediately report unsafe conditions, damaged merchandise, spills, equipment problems and injuries. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. Dependable attendance and the ability to arrive ready to work as scheduled. Flexible but consistent Saturday availability. Customer-first attitude and willingness to help throughout the store. Strong attention to detail, organization and communication. Ability to follow safety procedures and manage changing priorities. Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push and pull throughout the shift. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in changing temperatures and weather conditions. Previous warehouse, retail, feed-store, farm-store, garden-center, hardware or material-handling experience is helpful but not required. Forklift or propane experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided. A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required only for employees assigned to operate a company vehicle. What Success Looks Like Customer, pickup and delivery orders are accurate and ready on time. Incoming and outgoing merchandise is properly documented and placed. The warehouse and loading areas remain clean, safe and easy to navigate. Customers receive prompt and friendly assistance. Inventory shortages, product damage and receiving discrepancies are reported quickly. Coworkers can depend on you to communicate and follow through.
