Duties Greet clients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently using veterinary software. Handle medical collections accurately, ensuring proper billing procedures in compliance with veterinary administrative support standards. Assist with front desk responsibilities including answering phone calls, responding to client inquiries, and providing information about pet care services. Support veterinary critical care by coordinating patient flow, preparing medical records, and communicating treatment plans clearly to clients. Maintain detailed records of client interactions, laboratory results, and animal treatments while adhering to USDA and DEA regulations. Assist with kennel duties such as animal husbandry, restraint, and basic animal care to ensure comfort during visits. Facilitate effective communication between clients and veterinary staff regarding surgery preparations, post-operative care, or medication instructions. Qualifications Prior experience in a veterinary clinic setting or similar customer service environment is highly preferred. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, medical-surgical procedures, and companion animal medicine is essential. Demonstrated ability in dog handling, animal restraint, and basic animal husbandry techniques. Familiarity with veterinary software systems and Microsoft Office applications for record keeping and communication purposes. Strong understanding of drug enforcement regulations (DEA) and USDA guidelines related to veterinary practice. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical information clearly to pet owners. Experience with laboratory procedures or veterinary critical care is a plus.
