Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic automotive team as a Service Advisor, where your enthusiasm and mechanical knowledge will drive exceptional customer experiences. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your energetic approach will help guide clients through their service needs, ensuring clarity, transparency, and satisfaction at every step. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine customer service excellence with automotive expertise, contributing to a thriving dealership environment. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Explain repair procedures, estimates, and recommended services clearly and confidently Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services Upsell additional maintenance or repair services based on vehicle diagnostics and customer needs Manage service writing, including creating detailed work orders and estimates using auto estimating tools Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining excellent customer relations during payment processes Maintain thorough records of all service activities, vehicle histories, and customer interactions Assist with automotive diagnostics and mechanical assessments to support technicians when needed Promote dealership services such as oil changes, tire service, alignments, brake repairs, suspension work, and transmission repairs Qualifications Proven dealership experience or auto service management background is highly preferred Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures Experience with auto estimating software and service writing processes Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly Familiarity with upselling techniques to recommend appropriate services confidently Mechanical experience or mechanic background is a plus for understanding complex repairs like diesel engines or air brake systems Knowledge of automotive repair specialties including shocks & struts, wheel alignments, suspension work, tire services, brake repairs, and oil changes Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records Automotive sales experience is beneficial for promoting additional dealership offerings This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to combine their passion for automobiles with outstanding customer service.
