Opportunity to work from home one day per week, typically Wednesday Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Customer Service / Order Processing Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a global manufacturing organization. This is not a traditional call center or data entry position . While customer communication and accurate data entry are part of the job, this position is much more focused on customer account support, order processing, problem-solving, and coordinating orders from start to finish . The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative, pays close attention to detail, and is comfortable wearing multiple hats throughout the day. You will work with customers as well as internal Sales, Production, Shipping, and other departments to ensure orders, pricing, invoicing, and customer requests are handled accurately and on time. Because the company works with high-value products, accuracy, attention to detail, and strong math skills are extremely important. Responsibilities Provide day-to-day customer service and account support to customers throughout the U.S. and Canada Process customer orders accurately and ensure orders are followed through from entry to shipment Respond to customer questions regarding orders, products, pricing, shipments, and services Enter and maintain customer orders, quotations, pricing, and account information within SAP Prepare quotations and assist customers with product and order-related requests Coordinate with Sales, Production, Shipping, and other departments to resolve customer issues Process daily invoices, credit notes, and miscellaneous invoices Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets, reports, and performance tracking Coordinate shipping and receiving activities and prepare required shipping documentation Assist with export documentation and transportation coordination for Canadian shipments Monitor customer orders and proactively address discrepancies, delays, or other issues Support the Sales Team with reports, quotations, customer information, and special projects Assist customers with the company's online ordering portal and help troubleshoot issues Maintain accurate customer and order records Assist with trade show preparation, promotions, product launches, and marketing initiatives as needed Make occasional outbound calls to existing, inactive, or prospective customers Handle additional projects and responsibilities as needed in a fast-paced environment Qualifications 2-5 years of experience in customer service, order processing, account management/support, sales support, supply chain, or a related position Previous experience processing and managing customer orders Experience working with an ERP system required; SAP experience is strongly preferred Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills , including updating and maintaining spreadsheets Strong math and numerical skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to multitask and move between different responsibilities throughout the day Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to take initiative and work independently Comfortable communicating directly with customers and internal departments Experience with pricing, quotations, invoicing, shipping, or logistics is a plus High school diploma or equivalent required; college education preferred What We're Looking For We're looking for a go-getter who takes ownership of their work .
