OVERVIEW
Akervall Technologies Inc. is seeking a part-time Customer Service Representative to join our team in Saline, Michigan, just south of Ann Arbor. This is a phone-heavy customer service and inside sales role. A core expectation of the position is making approximately 80 to 100 outbound calls per day , beginning early in the role. These calls will include a mix of warm-lead follow-up, outreach to existing business customers, re-engagement of previous prospects, and cold outreach to potential new accounts. In addition to outbound calling, this position will also provide support to both our direct-to-consumer and business-to-business customers. On a typical day, you may assist a consumer with a product or order question, help a wholesale customer place an order, follow up with a prospect who requested pricing, and introduce SISU Mouthguards or SOVA Night Guard to potential new customers. The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable spending a large portion of the workday on the phone, can communicate naturally with different types of customers, and is able to balance high outbound activity with responsive customer service and organized follow-up. You will work closely with our Director of Sales and other members of our small team, with customer interactions and sales activity tracked in HubSpot.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist consumers with product questions, order status, product guidance, returns, warranty questions, and other routine inquiries. Support existing wholesale and retail customers with order placement, pricing questions, product availability, and general account needs. Prepare quotes and process standard wholesale and retail orders using established company pricing and procedures. Identify larger or more complex sales opportunities, including distributors, retail chains, or multi-location accounts, and coordinate those opportunities with the Director of Sales. Maintain accurate notes, communication history, follow-up tasks, and sales activity in HubSpot. Work collaboratively with sales, marketing, operations, and other team members to provide a strong overall customer experience.
WHAT THE FIRST 90 DAYS LOOK LIKE
The first several weeks will focus on learning our products, customer base, systems, and internal processes while also becoming comfortable with the daily calling expectations of the role. From the beginning, candidates should expect outbound calling to make up a significant portion of each workday, with a target of approximately 80 to 100 calls per day . Training and coaching will be provided on product knowledge, customer conversations, HubSpot, wholesale pricing, order processing, and outreach strategy. As product knowledge and familiarity with our customers increase, the role will involve more independent conversations, follow-up, quoting, order support, and lead management. Performance will be evaluated using a combination of call activity, quality of customer conversations, follow-up, organization, customer service, and sales contribution. A formal check-in with the Director of Sales will take place around the 90-day mark.
