About The Company:
Our client is a well-established consumer goods organization with a long-standing presence in the U.S. market. The company provides essential products and solutions to commercial, industrial, and government customers nationwide. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative customer service team during its busiest seasonal period. We are seeking a Customer Service / Order Management Specialist to support a portfolio of municipal, government, and corporate customers purchasing bulk winter products. The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating with professional and government customers, managing orders from initial request through delivery, and coordinating internally to ensure accurate and timely service. This position requires strong communication skills, reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to remain organized during a fast-paced seasonal period.
Key Responsibilities:
Answering high volume of incoming calls Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned municipal, government, and corporate customers Process customer orders and provide timely updates regarding order and delivery status Coordinate product transportation and delivery scheduling based on customer needs Build positive working relationships with customers and provide proactive, solutions-oriented service Enter, maintain, and update order and customer information within internal systems Maintain accurate customer records, contracts, correspondence, and related documentation Assist with invoicing and billing information as needed Partner with transportation, operations, sales, and other internal departments to keep orders moving efficiently Respond professionally to customer questions, changes, and time-sensitive requests Help resolve order or delivery issues while keeping customers informed throughout the process
Qualifications:
2-3 years of professional customer service, client services, order management, or related office experience Experience supporting business-to-business, corporate, or professional customers strongly preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills with a polished, customer-focused approach Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook SAP experience is strongly preferred and will be highly valued Ability to manage multiple orders, requests, and priorities simultaneously Strong attention to detail and follow-through Team-oriented attitude with the ability to collaborate across departments Bachelor's degree is a plus but not required Previous consumer products or B2B customer service experience is a plus
Additional Details:
Candidates must be committed to completing the full duration of the assignment Reliability and punctuality are essential Candidates must be available for additional hours during periods of high winter demand, including occasional weekends and holidays
