A Customer Service Representative interacts directly with customers to answer questions and solve problems. Communicates with customers in person, over the phone or online. Provides help with troubleshooting technical problems for equipment or software. Keeps records of customer communications and transactions.
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a dispatcher / customer service representative. You will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services. This is a vital role within our organization as you will be the primary point of contact for our customers. Part of the job is in the office, part is answering the dispatch phone after hours and on weekends. Duties - Scheduling and dispatching dump truck drivers, work crews, vehicles or equipment to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests or immediate needs Relaying information such as work orders or other messages to and from work crews, field inspectors, or supervisors Using telephones, two-way radios or text messages to contact employees and personnel Speaking with employees, supervisors and customers to resolve problems, requests for services or equipment Preparing daily work such as schedules, orders, invoices, and deliveries Keeping and organizing work requests, customer requests, completed work requests, charges for work performed, expenses for services performed, inventory records and other information Answer incoming customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat Provide accurate and timely information to customers regarding product availability, specifications, pricing, and delivery schedules Assist customers with order placement, tracking, and pricing Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and ensure timely resolution Maintain customer records in our database accurately and efficiently Communicate with customers regarding any changes or updates to their orders or deliveries Qualifications - Experience with different types of aggregate products: sand, gravel, topsoil, etc., is required Experience in/knowledge of the trucking industry, especially aggregate/construction, is preferred Previous experience in customer service or a related field Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work and adapt under pressure Excellent phone etiquette and the ability to handle difficult or irate customers with professionalism and empathy Proficient in using computer systems and software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) is a plus Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes, dispatching, and fleet management QBO experience is preferred If you are a detail-oriented individual with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, we would love to hear from you.
