Job Description

About Aevus Aevus builds the membership platform behind golf clubs and professional associations. Our products, MyClubHQ and Communit-Us, handle memberships, events, competitions, communications, payments and reporting for organizations across the US, UK and Europe. We're a small, focused team. The platform is live and growing, and we're expanding into the US market. This role reports to our CEO, who is also Texas-based. About the role This role carries our platforms through the whole client journey: demonstrating them to prospects, working out what a client actually needs, shaping how the platform will deliver it, supporting the build through to go-live, and looking after the client once they're live. You'll be the bridge between our clients and our engineering team
  • the person who knows the products well enough to demo them credibly, design a workable solution, and resolve most issues without escalating. What you'll do
  • Test every enhancement and release across all our platforms before it reaches clients, and raise defects with clear reproduction steps.
  • Demonstrate the platforms to prospects on calls and in person, tailored to their sector rather than a generic walkthrough.
  • Answer product and technical questions during the sales process, working alongside our VP Sales.
  • Gather requirements from prospects and clients, and suggest better ways to meet a need where the platform allows.
  • Produce a solution blueprint setting out how the platform will be configured, what's in scope and what isn't.
  • Build the project plan alongside our Implementation Project Manager, with realistic milestones and dependencies.
  • Support clients through implementation: configuration, data checks, testing, training and go-live.
  • Provide ongoing support through our ticketing system, meeting agreed service levels.
  • Produce client guidance and internal documentation, and feed recurring issues into product priorities. What we're looking for
  • Experience in a client-facing solutions, technical account management or senior support role with a software or SaaS product.
  • Confident demonstrating software to prospects and clients, including senior decision makers, on calls and in person.
  • Able to gather requirements, think through a solution, and document it clearly.
  • Genuine technical aptitude
  • able to learn a complex platform in depth and investigate methodically.
  • Thorough testing discipline and strong attention to detail.
  • Clear communicator, able to explain technical matters to non-technical people.
  • Comfortable managing competing priorities to defined service levels. Nice to have
  • Experience with membership organizations, associations, golf clubs or similar member-based bodies.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems, basic SQL or reporting tools.
  • Awareness of integrations
  • payments, point-of-sale, accounting, single sign-on
  • and how they typically fail.
  • Experience producing user documentation or delivering client training. Compensation and benefits
  • $60,000
  • $70,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • Health insurance contribution.
  • Paid time off plus federal holidays.
  • Retirement plan.
  • Office based at Hughes Landing, The Woodlands.
  • A role with genuine range
  • pre-sales, solution design and delivery, not just a support queue.
Where you'll work Our office is at Hughes Landing in The Woodlands, and our preference is for someone who can be based there. It is a good space and it is there to be used. That said, we will consider a remote arrangement within Texas for the right person. Much of the team works from home, including our CEO, so we are set up for it. Either way the role involves travel: demonstrations to prospects and visits to clients are part of the job. This role is open to candidates who live in Texas. We are only set up to employ in Texas at present, so we are unfortunately not able to consider applicants based in other states. Work authorization Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Aevus is not able to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position. Equal opportunity Aevus is an equal opportunity employer. We consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. If you need a reasonable accommodation at any point in the application or interview process, please let us know and we will arrange it. How to apply Apply with your resume.
