As a Tax Director within BPM's Private Client Services (PCS) practice , you will serve as a strategic advisor to high-net-worth individuals, multi-generational families, executives, entrepreneurs, and family offices, helping them navigate complex tax matters while preserving and growing wealth for future generations. In this role, you will lead sophisticated tax planning, consulting, and compliance engagements across individual, trust, estate, gift, and closely held business taxation. Your expertise will help clients make informed decisions around wealth preservation, succession planning, liquidity events, and business transitions, creating meaningful and lasting impact on their financial legacy.

Note:

Candidates residing within 45 minute commuting distance of a BPM office will be expected to follow a hybrid work schedule .

Requirements:

7 or more years' experience in public accounting with an emphasis on Tax. BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field (Masters degree a plus) Licensed CPA or EA certified Capability to research and oversee complex tax issues and projects with an exposure to a variety of entities and industries. Able to manage multiple complex projects and deliver in a timely manner. Ability and/or interest in generating and building business, delegating work and manage staff. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities:

Provide tax compliance and consulting to a diverse base of high-net worth individuals, partnerships, and corporations. Oversee complex tax research projects for a variety of clients and diverse industries. Work with clients to minimize their federal, state, and local tax liability. Supervise tax associates' assignments and manage the day-to-day delivery of tax consulting services to the client. Develop and motivate tax seniors and associates by reviewing their work and providing them with counseling, leadership and career guidance. Manage multiple engagements and deliver high quality products timely and efficiently. $172,000 - $227,000 a year Compensation reflects multiple factors including experience, certifications, skills, and geographic differentials, The salary range provided is intended for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area who meet the minimum requirements of the position.
