Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Service Writers to join our dynamic automotive service team! In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for maintenance and repairs. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will ensure a positive customer experience while efficiently coordinating vehicle repairs with our skilled technicians. Duties Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Write detailed and accurate service orders, including descriptions of issues, recommended repairs, and estimated costs Communicate effectively with technicians to relay customer concerns and clarify repair requirements Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, and transmission services to maximize customer satisfaction and shop revenue Provide clear explanations of repair procedures, costs, and timelines to customers to ensure transparency and trust Manage auto estimating processes using dealership or shop management software to generate accurate repair quotes Handle cash transactions, process payments securely, and maintain precise financial records Requirements Previous dealership or auto service management experience preferred Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures Familiarity with automotive repair services including oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, diesel engine work, shocks & struts, air brake systems, tire service, and auto body repair Experience with auto estimating software and sales techniques to promote additional services Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Mechanical knowledge gained through mechanic experience or automotive technician background is highly desirable Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; dealership experience is a plus Join us in delivering exceptional automotive care by combining your passion for cars with your talent for customer engagement!
