Customer Service Representative (CSR) Kirby Sanitation is growing, and so is our Customer Service Team! After nearly two years without adding to our office staff, we're excited to be expanding our Customer Service team and are looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused individual to join us! Kirby Sanitation is a locally owned and family-operated waste and recycling company proudly serving the Upstate of South Carolina. We strive to be an industry leader by showing our community and employees how much we CARE. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be one of the first points of contact for our customers. What You'll Do Greet customers by phone, email, and in person with professionalism and courtesy. Answer incoming calls regarding billing, service requests, sales inquiries, and general customer questions while following established call procedures. Resolve customer concerns using company resources while maintaining a calm, positive, and solution-focused approach. Create work orders for missed trash collections, new services, service changes, and cancellations in accordance with company policy. Build rapport with customers and provide an exceptional customer experience on every interaction. Create, update, and maintain customer accounts within our database. Process customer payments and assist with payment-related inquiries. Contact customers to follow up on inquiries, return voicemail messages, and update payment information when necessary. Prepare outgoing mail. Operate standard office equipment, including computers, copiers, scanners, and other office technology. Support other office functions as needed to help the team succeed. What We're Looking For Strong computer skills are required. Comfortable working across multiple software applications simultaneously while assisting customers. Ability to learn new software and adapt to changing technology. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional customer service and conflict resolution abilities. Ability to remain calm, professional, and courteous during challenging customer interactions. Positive, coachable attitude with a willingness to learn and support fellow team members. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Ability to read maps and follow map legends is helpful. Knowledge of the local geographical area is a plus, but not required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required. Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED required.
