Overview As the Director of First Impressions , you are the face and voice of Thornton Flooring + Design Center. In this high-impact role, you set the tone for the entire customer journey by delivering a warm, professional, and seamless experience. Responsibilities include welcoming visitors, guiding guests through our showroom, directing inquiries to the right team members, and efficiently managing incoming calls. Additionally, you will ensure our reception and common areas remain polished, organized, and inviting at all times.

Hours Monday:

8 am

• 7 pm Tuesday

• Thursday:

  9 am
• 6 pm

Friday:

9 am

• 5 pm Every 3rd

Saturday:

9 am

• 4 pm (with a day off in the middle of the week) Responsibilities Greet walk-in traffic in a friendly manner, determining the reason for the visit to the store and identifying the correct salesperson to assist Answer and direct phone calls Assist customers with samples which includes tracking samples issued, restocking, and updating as needed Enter customer orders and purchase orders Process payments involving cash, check, credit card, and financing Sort incoming and outgoing mail Perform store opening and closing procedures Ensure showroom is clean, organized and properly displayed Upload special required invoicing to customer's preferred method Attend Sales Meetings Track and record customer traffic data Update phone systems Assist sales management team with items such as Parade of Homes and other assigned projects.

Respond to social media inquiries and postings Assist with development of marketing materials and social postings Pull and review permits for reporting purposes Perform accounting data entry Perform other projects as assigned Qualifications Ability to work the assigned schedule. Experience in a retail setting with high levels of interaction with customers and sales staff. Strong communication skills Excellent organizational skills. Is detail oriented. Is a team player.
