General Description:

The purpose of this position within the organization is to receive payments and give receipts for payment of bills and fees in the Department.

Essential Functions:

Must be able to communicate with others in spoken and written English to ensure the safe and efficient operations of the business. Receives and applies payments to customer accounts. Balances cash drawer and generates cash and deposit report. Processes payments for special accounts and business accounts. Generates payment extensions upon customer request. Answers general questions about customer accounts and/or billing. Performs other work as assigned.

Physical Demands :

Performs work that involves sitting most of the time. May involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Basic math and computer skills. Attention to detail. Requires some experience as a cashier, customer service representative, or closely related.
