Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Customer Solutions Specialist to join our team! The Customer Solutions Specialist serves as a primary point of contact for our existing customers, providing responsive customer service, technical product support, and solutions throughout the quoting and order fulfillment process. This position works closely with customers to understand their requirements, provide product and availability information, prepare quotations, process orders, recommend appropriate or alternate products, and resolve customer needs from initial request through delivery. The role is focused on supporting and developing existing customer relationships rather than cold calling or traditional new-business prospecting. Duties Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned and existing customers through telephone and email communication. Respond to customer requests regarding products, quotations, pricing, availability, orders, returns, lead times, shipping, documentation, and other customer requirements. Determine customer requirements and expectations and recommend appropriate products and solutions. Provide technical product information in a clear, accurate, and timely manner. Research part numbers, product specifications, applications, and customer requirements as necessary. Suggest alternate products based on specifications, availability, lead time, cost, or customer requirements. Prepare and process sales quotations and follow up on open quotations and customer requests. Enter and review sales orders and provide order acknowledgments to customers. Review customer purchase orders and requirements for accuracy and communicate discrepancies or questions before order processing. Monitor customer orders and communicate order status, scheduling, shipment information, delays, or other changes. Investigate customer requests involving stock availability, order expediting, special items, preferred carriers, special packaging, shipping criteria, and other requirements. Work with Purchasing, Warehouse, Production, Quality, Accounting, and other departments to ensure customer requirements are understood and met. Follow customer issues through resolution and maintain clear communication with the customer throughout the process. Contact customers as appropriate following orders or shipments to address pending issues and support ongoing customer satisfaction. Develop and maintain strong knowledge of IBSCO's products, services, customers, and internal processes. Educate customers regarding product terminology, features, specifications, and available solutions when appropriate. Develop an understanding of assigned customers' purchasing patterns, product usage, recurring requirements, and anticipated needs. Identify opportunities to better support existing customers through additional products, alternate solutions, or improved service. Communicate potential sales opportunities or needs requiring additional sales support to the appropriate sales team member. Maintain accurate customer, quotation, order, and related information within company systems. Understand and follow applicable IBSCO quality standards, procedures, and work instructions. Work individually and as part of a team to support productivity, efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. Communicate professionally with internal and external personnel and perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to learn, understand, and communicate technical product information. Ability to interpret technical instructions, specifications, measurements, diagrams, and other product information. Strong problem-solving and research skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and open customer requests. Strong computer skills and ability to learn ERP, CRM, and other business systems. Ability to work effectively across departments, independently, and as part of a team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience in customer service, inside sales, account support, technical support, distribution, or a related customer-facing role. Experience within the bearing, industrial distribution, power transmission, manufacturing, aerospace, or related technical industry. Experience preparing quotations, processing customer orders, or supporting technical products. Familiarity with ERP or CRM systems.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed primarily in an office environment with regular use of telephone, email, computer systems, and other office equipment. Interaction with warehouse, production, quality, and other operational areas may be required. The position primarily involves sedentary office work with occasional movement throughout the facility. Occasional travel may be required based on business or customer needs. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
