Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Veterinary Customer Service Representative to join our dedicated veterinary team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for clients and their beloved pets, providing exceptional customer service while supporting the daily operations of our veterinary clinic. Your enthusiasm, attention to detail, and animal-loving attitude will help create a welcoming environment for pet owners and ensure smooth communication between clients and veterinary staff. Responsibilities Greet clients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage client check-in/check-out processes using veterinary software. Answer phone calls promptly, address inquiries about pet care, and relay messages accurately to veterinary staff. Assist with medical collections, billing procedures, and processing payments in accordance with veterinary administrative protocols. Support kennel duties including animal husbandry, handling dogs and other companion animals with care and confidence. Maintain detailed records of client interactions, medical histories, and laboratory results while adhering to confidentiality standards. Facilitate animal restraint during examinations or treatments, ensuring safety for both pets and staff. Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians during surgeries or medical-surgical procedures by preparing supplies or handling animals as needed. Skills Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and basic pet care practices. Experience with veterinary critical care procedures, animal catheterization, aseptic technique, and laboratory work. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and veterinary software systems for record keeping and scheduling. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with clients. Hands-on experience with dog handling, animal restraint techniques, and pet care routines. Familiarity with drug enforcement regulations (DEA) and USDA regulations relevant to veterinary practice.
