Job Description
Company DescriptionTyler Union, a division of McWane, Inc., is the nation's leading manufacturer of Ductile Iron Waterworks Fittings and Appurtenances has an immediate opening for a Customer Service Representative. Tyler Union's main manufacturing facility is located in Anniston, AL. The primary focus of this position is to manage client relationships and provide service to existing customers with a strong emphasis on daily work within the company's CRM system, entering orders and ensuring accurate and timely shipment. Customer service both before and after the sale will be required.
The Customer Service Representative acts as a customer advocate while supporting the Outside Sales team in their sales and relationship efforts. This role operates in a collaborative remote team environment and requires proactive communication across distributed stakeholders. CSRs are required to use product knowledge to generate solutions that meet customer needs and company objectives.
Success in this role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, manage priorities proactively, and maintain accuracy within CRM systems.

Job DescriptionResponsibilities and Job Duties:
Handle inbound calls from established customers regarding pricing and estimated delivery timeframe based upon knowledge of Tyler Union's production and delivery schedulesOrder entry; including new orders, changes to previous orders, return authorizations and creditsMaintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and activities within the CRMServe as internal support for Outside Sales team, including quotationsDrive alignment across internal teams to ensure accurate and timely execution of customer ordersInvestigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries while documenting activity in the CRMPartner effectively with The Outside Sales Team to drive territory coverage and maintain positive distributor relationships through consistent communication and CRM visibilityPost-sale follow-through including communication with distributors to confirm expected delivery dates and back-ordered itemsAccomplish department and organization goals by exploring new opportunities to add value to the CSR position and improve CRM data quality and processesWork with Outside Sales to identify and develop strategies which support new and/or existing sales opportunitiesPerforms various other miscellaneous sales and service-related duties as directed by managementQualificationsRequirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree preferred3-5 years of customer service or inside sales experience preferredHighly self-directed, with the ability to independently manage priorities and make sound decisions with minimal oversightExperience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) strongly preferredExperience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is highly desirableStrong computer skills necessary, particularlyMicrosoft Word and ExcelJob Specifications:
Strong communication, organization, and people skills including the ability to communicate effectively with remote teamsSelf-motivated, assertive individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversightAbility to effectively prioritize and handle multiple projects with attention to detailAbility to work within a team atmosphere as well as independently in a self-directed environmentExcellent time management skills requiredWorking Conditions:
This is an office position with eventual hybrid work opportunity. This role includes frequent collaboration with a remote, distributed team.
