POSITION SUMMARY

Aronkas Five Star Creations is looking for a friendly, dependable, energetic, and customer-focused team member to join our Fort Hood location. The Customer Experience Associate is responsible for creating an exceptional experience for every customer while serving our handcrafted ice cream and maintaining a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming store environment. Our team serves Soldiers, military families, retirees, veterans, DoD personnel, and members of our local community. Every team member is expected to represent Aronkas Five Star Creations with professionalism, kindness, excellence, and a servants heart.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service Greet every customer warmly and professionally.

Provide friendly, attentive, and personalized customer service.

Help customers select ice cream flavors, toppings, and menu items.

Provide accurate information about products, flavors, ingredients, and available options.

Handle customer questions and concerns professionally and promptly.

Create a welcoming environment for military families and the Fort Hood community.

Maintain a positive attitude during busy periods. Food Service & Product Preparation Scoop and serve ice cream according to company standards.

Prepare cones, cups, sundaes, shakes, and other approved menu items.

Properly portion products to maintain consistency and control food costs.

Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.

Properly store and handle food products.

Monitor product levels and notify management when inventory needs replenishment.

Maintain proper temperatures and cleanliness of food-service equipment. Cash Register & Sales Operate the point-of-sale system accurately.

Process cash, credit/debit cards, and other approved forms of payment.

Accurately count cash and provide correct change.

Follow all company procedures regarding cash handling and register security.

Assist with opening and closing procedures as assigned. Store Cleanliness & Organization Keep counters, floors, tables, equipment, and customer areas clean and sanitary.

Restock cups, spoons, napkins, toppings, and other supplies.

Maintain an organized and attractive service area.

Complete cleaning duties throughout the shift rather than waiting until closing.

Follow all applicable installation, food-safety, sanitation, and safety requirements. Teamwork & Professionalism Work cooperatively with managers and fellow team members.

Arrive on time and be prepared to work at the beginning of each scheduled shift.

Follow company policies, procedures, and management direction.

Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.

Maintain a professional appearance and appropriate workplace conduct.

Be willing to learn multiple areas of the business and assist wherever needed.

Protect company property, products, equipment, cash, and confidential information.

Report safety, security, customer-service, or operational concerns to management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be dependable, punctual, and responsible.

Strong customer-service and communication skills.

Friendly, positive, and professional personality.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Basic cash-handling and computer/POS skills preferred.

Previous restaurant, retail, food-service, or customer-service experience preferred but not required.

Must be willing to learn Aronkas Five Star Creations products, procedures, and service standards.

Must be able to work as part of a team.

Must comply with all applicable Fort Hood/Fort Cavazos installation access and workplace requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Ability to frequently reach, bend, stoop, and move throughout the store.

Ability to safely lift at least 40lbs and carry supplies and inventory as required by the position.

Ability to work in a refrigerated/freezer environment when necessary.

Ability to perform cleaning and sanitation duties.

SCHEDULE

Employees must be available to work assigned shifts based on business needs, including weekends, holidays, and high-volume periods when scheduled. Schedules may vary based on store operations, military-community events, seasonal demand, and staffing needs.
