Job Description

Express Service Advisor Position Summary The Express Service Advisor is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while efficiently managing customers through the dealership's express service process. This position serves as the primary point of contact for customers needing routine maintenance and light automotive services, including oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, fluid services, and other manufacturer-recommended maintenance. Essential Responsibilities Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival. Conduct a thorough vehicle walk-around and document the vehicle's condition. Listen to customers' concerns and accurately document requested services. Recommend maintenance and services based on the vehicle's mileage, condition, and manufacturer recommendations. Prepare accurate repair orders and communicate service recommendations clearly. Coordinate with express technicians to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently. Monitor vehicle progress and provide customers with timely updates. Review completed services with customers and explain work performed. Present invoices and collect payment while ensuring accuracy. Maintain strong customer satisfaction and build long-term customer relationships. Follow dealership and manufacturer policies, procedures, and safety standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional service drive. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Previous automotive dealership or customer service experience preferred. Automotive service advisor experience is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Basic understanding of automotive maintenance and repair. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to work effectively with technicians, customers, and dealership staff. Schedule may include weekends and extended hours based on dealership operating hours. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to inspect vehicles and move around the service drive. Ability to occasionally lift or move items associated with vehicle service operations. Ability to work in varying weather conditions when assisting customers or inspecting vehicles.
