This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, providing excellent customer service, and keeping a retail store organized and welcoming. Key Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide professional, friendly service. Receive and check in customers' clothing and other garments for cleaning. Accurately enter customer orders into the point-of-sale system. Tag and organize garments to ensure orders are processed correctly. Answer customer questions about cleaning services, pricing, turnaround times, and orders. Accept customer payments and provide receipts. Return completed orders to customers and verify orders before handing them over. Handle customer pickups and drop-offs efficiently. Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with questions. Communicate any special cleaning or garment-care instructions clearly to the cleaning team. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front counter and reception area. Help keep garments and customer orders properly organized and secure. Address customer concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary. Promote Comet Cleaners services and available specials when appropriate. Follow company procedures for cash handling, customer orders, and garment tracking. Perform light cleaning and general store-maintenance tasks as needed. Maintain a positive and professional attitude throughout the shift. What We're Looking For Reliable and punctual — Saturday availability from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM is required. Friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer-service skills. Good communication skills. Comfortable interacting with customers in person and over the phone. Basic computer and POS/register skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to stay organized in a busy retail environment. Previous retail, reception, customer service, dry-cleaning, or cashier experience is a plus, but not required .
