Job Description

My Family Vet-Montgomery is seeking an
EXPERIENCED VETERINARY RECEPTIONIST
to join our staff. Applicants must have an open and friendly personality, excellent client communication skills, good computer skills, and great work ethic. Experience with Cornerstone practice software is a must. We value client service to the same degree as patient care.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The receptionist answers telephones, greets clients, receives and relays client correspondence, updates client financial records. The exceptional receptionist has the ability to diffuse negative client situations and foster client bonding. Demonstrated ability to perform clerical work with speed and accuracy, use a multiple-line telephone system, and handle cash and other forms of payment. Obtaining relevant information from clients, and accurately entering a variety of information in patient records. Ability to complete assigned tasks in the time allotted without direct supervision. Demonstrated ability to show empathy toward clients and treat animals with respect and compassion. Discussing financial protocols with clients Communicating information between the front desk and treatment area Working well with individuals and teams Guiding clients to make appropriate decisions regarding optimum pet care Answer clients' inquiries about basic animal care questions and routine procedures Educating clients on over-the-counter products such as shampoos and preventatives
