Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized, communication-driven Customer Service / Outside Sales Representative to serve as the primary point of contact for clients and drive new business in the signage and graphics industry. This hybrid role combines exceptional customer service with proactive outside sales, requiring meticulous organization, clear and professional communication, and the ability to manage multiple client relationships and projects efficiently. You will work closely with design, production, and installation teams to deliver high-quality signage, vehicle wraps, banners, digital graphics, and related products while building long-term client partnerships. Key Responsibilities Serve as the main point of contact for existing clients, responding promptly and professionally to inquiries, quotes, order status updates, and service requests via phone, email, and in-person meetings. Manage the full sales cycle for new and existing accounts: prospecting, qualifying leads, conducting site visits and consultations, preparing accurate quotes, negotiating terms, and closing sales. Maintain meticulous organization of client files, project timelines, order details, inventory-related notes, and follow-up schedules using CRM tools and internal systems. Coordinate seamlessly with internal design, production, and installation teams to ensure accurate order specifications, on-time delivery, and high-quality results. Conduct outside sales activities including client visits, trade shows, networking events, and territory management while documenting all interactions thoroughly. Prepare and present professional proposals, samples, and presentations that clearly communicate product options, timelines, and value. Track and report on sales metrics, pipeline status, and customer feedback with strong attention to detail and organized record-keeping. Resolve customer concerns quickly and effectively, escalating issues appropriately while maintaining clear documentation and communication throughout the process. Continuously organize and prioritize daily/weekly tasks, follow-ups, and multi-project workflows to meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment. Uphold brand standards in all written and verbal communications, ensuring consistency, professionalism, and accuracy. Required Qualifications & Skills Proven experience in customer service, outside sales, account management, or a related client-facing role (signage, graphics, printing, or manufacturing industry preferred). Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, client accounts, and detailed documentation simultaneously without dropping details. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills—clear, professional, persuasive, and adaptable to different audiences (clients, internal teams, vendors). Strong attention to detail and accuracy in quoting, order entry, and client correspondence. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in the field while remaining highly organized and accountable. Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, and the ability to quickly learn industry-specific software. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for outside sales calls and client visits. Ability to understand basic technical aspects of signage and graphics products (or willingness to learn quickly). Preferred Qualifications Experience in the signage, graphics, commercial printing, or related visual communications industry. Familiarity with design file types, production processes, or installation considerations. Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets while maintaining high customer satisfaction scores. What We Offer Competitive base salary plus commission/bonus structure. Opportunity to build and manage your own territory and client portfolio. Collaborative team environment with support from design and production experts. Professional growth in a creative, project-driven industry. This role is ideal for a highly organized communicator who thrives on building relationships, managing details flawlessly, and delivering results both in the office and in the field.
