Primary Role:
Provide customer service and administrative support to the automotive service department while learning the various functions of the department. This position serves as a support role for customers, service advisors, technicians, and parts personnel, with opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and advance within the department.
Core responsibilities:
Answer phones and assist customers Greet customers and direct them to the appropriate team member Take and relay messages Assist with customer communication and follow-up Help with vehicle/service status communication Pick up and deliver parts as needed Assist with service department paperwork and data entry Support service advisors and technicians with daily administrative needs Maintain organized service office and customer areas Assist with scheduling and other department needs Learn service department processes and procedures Take on additional responsibilities as training and experience develop
Growth Opportunities:
As the employee gains knowledge and demonstrates proficiency, they may be trained in service estimating/quoting, warranty processing, repair orders, customer follow-up, scheduling, and other Service Advisor responsibilities, with the potential to advance into a Service Advisor or other service department position.
