Shift:
Mon,Tue,Wed,Thu,Fri,Sat ACE Recycling & Disposal is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Service Writer to support our day-shift maintenance operations. This position serves as the primary point of communication between drivers, supervisors, and maintenance personnel, helping ensure vehicle concerns are accurately documented, prioritized, communicated, and followed through to completion. The ideal candidate is punctual, professional, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and able to communicate effectively with drivers, technicians, and supervisors. Key Responsibilities Receive and accurately document vehicle concerns reported by drivers and operations personnel. Review drivers' pre-trip and post-trip inspection reports for accuracy and completeness. Create, update, and close repair orders in the company's maintenance-management system. Communicate repair needs and priorities to technicians and maintenance supervisors. Track vehicles throughout the repair process and provide timely status updates. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts, labor, inspections, and vehicle downtime. Identify duplicate, incomplete, or unclear vehicle write-ups and obtain clarification as needed. Follow up with drivers when additional information is required. Coordinate with operations and maintenance to help ensure vehicles are safe and ready for service. Answer phones, respond to emails, and perform general administrative duties. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional service desk and work area. Follow all company safety policies and procedures.Shift:
7:00AM - 4:00PM plus some overtime.Pay:
$20.00 per hour.Experience and Skills:
Qualifications Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Dependable, punctual, and prepared to begin work at 7:00 a.m. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Professional attitude and ability to work effectively with drivers, technicians, and supervisors. Basic computer skills required; experience with maintenance-management software is a plus. Previous experience in service writing, fleet maintenance, automotive repair, trucking, or the refuse industry is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of commercial vehicles and mechanical terminology is a plus. Position Expectations The Day Shift Service Writer must demonstrate reliability, professionalism, follow-through, and a strong commitment to accurate documentation. Because proper vehicle reporting directly affects safety and daily operations, this individual must take ownership of open repair items and ensure information is communicated clearly, accurately, and promptly.Job Benefits:
