Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Write detailed service orders, accurately documenting customer requests and vehicle issues Communicate repair estimates clearly, upselling additional services such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, or brake repairs when appropriate Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services Maintain thorough records of all customer interactions, work performed, and parts used Assist with auto estimating processes by providing accurate descriptions of vehicle conditions and suggested repairs Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently while maintaining accuracy and integrity Skills Proven dealership experience or background in auto service management is highly preferred Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, transmissions, oil changes, suspension systems, and tire services Experience working with service technicians on automotive repair processes including diesel engine repair, air brake systems, shocks & struts, and auto body repair Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining customer trust and satisfaction Proficiency in auto estimating software and sales techniques within an automotive setting Knowledge of automotive repair procedures such as alignment, brake repair, oil changes, tire rotation, and vehicle maintenance protocols Cash handling experience with attention to detail in financial transactions Join our team as a Service Writer if you're passionate about cars, thrive on providing outstanding customer experiences, and want to grow your career in the automotive industry!
