Customer Service / Market Specialist (Farmers Market Sales Person) Reports to: Owner /

Shop Manager Schedule:

Primarily weekends (Saturday & Sunday, 6-8.5 hour shifts). Occasional Fridays for loading/prep.

Role Overview As a Market Specialist, you are the face of our brand at farmers markets. You'll set up and break down our booth, engage with customers, sample and sell our products, and make sure every market runs smoothly. This is an active, hands-on role perfect for someone who loves food, people, and a lively market environment.

Key Responsibilities Market Setup & Breakdown:

Load/unload coolers, tent, tables, signage, and product; ensure professional and consistent booth presentation.

Customer Service & Sales:

Welcome shoppers, offer samples, describe products, handle transactions (cash, card, Venmo/Square), and upsell bundles.

Product Knowledge:

Learn and confidently talk about our hummus flavors, seasonal specials, and Mediterranean food traditions.

Inventory & Cash Handling:

Track sales, manage change, and report back accurate counts at the end of shift.

Teamwork:

Work with fellow Market Specialists to cover busy rushes, rotate roles, and keep energy high. Requirements Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable talking to customers. Reliable and punctual (early morning start times required). Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (coolers, tents, etc.). Food service or retail experience a plus, but not required—we'll train you. Must have weekend availability (Saturdays & Sundays). Reliable transportation to/from markets (company vehicles may be used for some locations). Active Driver's License and a clean driver's record.
