Online Transport is currently seeking a full-time Heavy-Duty Truck and Trailer Maintenance Shop Service Advisor at our Dublin, VA Shop. Assist the Shop Manager with administrative functions such as creating work orders, scanning documents, part ordering and inventory auditing, job scheduling, parts pick up, etc. Schedule preventive maintenance (PM) services and repairs for tractors, trailers, and related equipment. Coordinate with internal technicians and external repair vendors to prioritize repairs. Monitor equipment status to reduce downtime and improve fleet availability. Assist the breakdown call center team when needed due to vacations, PTO days and other issues requiring additional help. Serve as the main point of contact for drivers regarding maintenance concerns. Maintain accurate maintenance records for DOT compliance. Review repair orders and invoices for accuracy and completeness. Identify recurring equipment issues and escalate trends to management. Clean and maintain physical and digital work area daily. Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; frequently stands, walks, uses hands to finger, handle or feel; and reaches with hands and arms. Ability to stand for long periods of time supporting full body weight Ability to walk 1000 feet minimum and change positions frequently Ability to frequently move shoulders with full range of motion in all six planes of movement Ability to reach heights over 72" frequently; ability to crouch to height of 18" frequently Ability to reach and stretch across the midline with full cervical range of motion and bilateral range of motion Ability to use hand tools constantly for extended periods of time Ability to stoop to 30" minimum and kneel to 18" minimum Ability to constantly go in/out of truck on 51" and one 24" step pulling full body weight. Ability to occasionally push 250 lbs, pull 125 lbs, frequently push/pull 100/50 lbs and constantly push/pull 50/25 lbs. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience Heavy Truck and Trailer repair experience preferred Experience in the transportation industry a plus. Proficient computer skills / software navigation capabilities Experience working with TMT fleet maintenance software a plus Experience in using diagnostics software preferred Familiarity with DOT and FMCSA maintenance requirements preferred Skills/Certifications Valid Driver's License required. Basic computer skills required. Ability to read and write. Work Environment Office environment within a maintenance shop or fleet operations facility. Frequent communication with drivers, technicians, and vendors.
