Cockerham Food Marts in Fancy Gap, VA is looking for a part-time Customer Service Cashier . Cockerham is a 3rd generation, locally owned and operated, owning and operating 8 convenience stores (Galax, Hillsville, & Fancy Gap, VA), Hampton Inn and the Pizza Inn/TCBY in Hillsville, VA. Also supplies a full line of propane and petroleum products to residential and commercial customers in Virginia and North Carolina.

Primary Job Duties:

Provides fast and efficient service Operate electronic cash register by ringing transactions, collecting money or processing credit card transactions Check ID's for age restricted items (Cigarettes, lottery/lotto, alcohol, etc.) Stocking shelves and cooler while rotating product Clean all areas, using proper cleaning procedures and materials, including (but not limited to) counter tops, microwaves, shelves, floors, windows, cooler doors, food service equipment, restrooms, and parking lots Check in vendors as needed following company guidelines Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned to accommodate store operational needs

Requirements and Skills:

Must be 21 years of age or older Be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds with or without assistance Experience in retail environment/food service preferred Reliable and accountable Be able to work 1st & 2nd shift Be able to work at either of our locations in
