Job Description

Customer Service Representative - Onsite Genesis10 life insurance, 401(k) United States, Virginia, Hampton Apr 29, 2026 Genesis10 is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative for a 6+ month contract-to-hire position with our client located in Hampton, VA. This is an on-site position.
Schedule:
Four days a week - 9:30 to 8 pm shifts available. Training would be the first two weeks, working from 9-5:30 pm.
Pay range:
$18.00 - $19.00 per hour In this role, the Customer Service Representative will interact with customers by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints. This position focuses on assisting callers with questions regarding their mobile devices, including troubleshooting, setup, and provisioning, often coordinating with service providers and technicians.
Responsibilities:
Interact with customers via telephone, email, or online chat to provide support and information on products or services Collect and enter orders for new or additional products or services Assist callers with any questions regarding their mobile devices Troubleshoot devices and the set up/provisioning of the device, often coordinating with the service provider and a technician Field customer questions and complaints When the issue is beyond the representative's knowledge, forward to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staff Coordinate the efforts of service providers, IT Help Desks, MDM Administrators, and customers to maintain service expectations Act as an intermediary to prevent "up-selling " by service providers Ensure that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customer's problems and concerns Maintain customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments Perform data entry, administrative support, and clerical duties Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Six (6) months or more experience with Customer Service Basic computer/smartphone skills Experience working with wireless devices Good written and verbal communication skills Able to pass a security clearance, if necessary Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
