Job Description
Customer Service & Sales Representative - Job Description The Customer Service & Sales Representative is responsible for driving territory growth by developing new customer accounts and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. This role combines proactive sales activity with ongoing account support, ensuring customers receive timely solutions for planned maintenance agreements, parts needs, and service repairs. This position reports to the Customer Service & Sales Area Manager. Key Responsibilities Territory Growth & Account Development
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Maintain regular contact with existing accounts to strengthen relationships and expand service offerings.
- Conduct onsite visits to evaluate customer needs, equipment conditions, and potential service opportunities. Sales of Maintenance Agreements, Parts, and Services
- Present and sell Planned Maintenance (PM) Agreements, ensuring customers understand coverage, scheduling, and value.
- Promote and sell OEM and aftermarket parts to support customer equipment uptime.
- Coordinate and follow up on service repair opportunities, including quoting, scheduling, and confirming completion. Customer Support & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding service status, parts availability, and maintenance scheduling.
- Provide clear communication and timely updates to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Resolve customer concerns by collaborating with service, dispatch, and the customer service & sales area manager. Operational Coordination
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate quoting.
- Track sales activity, follow-ups, and account status using CRM or designated systems. Performance Expectations
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets for PM agreements, parts sales, and service revenue.
- Maintain a consistent schedule of customer visits and follow-ups.
- Demonstrate strong product knowledge, professionalism, and commitment to customer satisfaction. Qualifications
- Experience in customer service, sales, or account management.
- Experience in the material handling, industrial equipment, or service-based industries is a plus.
- Communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with maintenance programs.
