Job Description

Harley-Davidson Service Writer / Service Advisor Skyline Harley-Davidson - Winchester, VA Skyline Harley-Davidson is looking for a motivated, organized, customer-focused Service Writer / Service Advisor to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys motorcycles, working with customers, and being rewarded for performance. Harley-Davidson experience is a plus, but we're also interested in strong automotive, powersports, or service-industry candidates who have the right attitude and are willing to learn. What You'll Do As a Service Writer, you are the primary connection between our customers and our service department. You'll help customers understand what their motorcycle needs, keep them informed throughout the repair process, and work closely with our technicians to make sure jobs move through the shop efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
Greet customers and write accurate repair orders Listen to customer concerns and clearly document requested work Recommend appropriate maintenance, repairs, tires, parts, and accessories Prepare estimates and obtain customer authorization Maintain consistent communication with customers while their motorcycle is in our shop Coordinate with technicians, Parts, and Service Management Review completed repairs and invoices with customers Follow up with customers and help build long-term relationships Maintain accurate repair-order notes and documentation Help deliver a professional, high-quality customer experience from drop-off through pickup Compensation We believe strong performance should be rewarded. First 30
Days:
$4,500 training guarantee — you receive the guarantee or your normal salary and commission earnings, whichever is greater.
After Training:
$2,560 monthly base salary 2% commission on gross profit from parts and labor sold on repair orders you write $500 monthly performance bonus when the department's parts-to-labor performance reaches the established target Your income grows as you become more effective at taking care of customers, identifying needed maintenance and repairs, and helping our Service Department perform. Who We're Looking For Our ideal candidate: Has strong customer-service and communication skills Is comfortable talking with customers by phone, text, and in person Can stay organized in a fast-moving environment Is comfortable discussing pricing and recommending needed work Understands that great service includes consistent customer communication Takes ownership of customer concerns instead of passing them along Works well with technicians and other departments Is dependable, professional, and accountable Wants to learn and improve Has an interest in motorcycles and the Harley-Davidson lifestyle Previous experience as an automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, powersports advisor, motorcycle dealership employee, or similar customer-facing position is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. Schedule:
