Guest Service Agents are responsible for assisting our guests in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner in all functions related to the front office department. Provide a safe and pleasant environment for guests and co-workers. Major Duties This position is for the mid shift and overnight shift.
The following skills are required:
standing, walking, talking on the telephone, typing, and people skills Assist guests with the process of check-in and checkout. Provide exemplary service to every guest. Answer phone within three (3) rings, route calls, take messages and reservations. Handle all incoming and outgoing reservations. Responsible for bank, daily paperwork, balancing and deposits. Verify bill with guest, post necessary charges, adjustments and payments. Respond immediately and follow through on all guest requests and complaints. Be a Sales Representative. Inform guests about the property and city attractions (restaurant, lounge, health club, museums, parks, events) Have complete knowledge of emergency procedures. Act as a liaison between departments by means of beeper and/or radio. Maintain confidentiality of guest information. Adhere to all safety & security policies as trained. Report to work at scheduled time in proper uniform. Represent the hotel in a positive manner at all times. Adhere to Company's policies at all times. Minor Duties Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure total guest satisfaction. Prevent loss or damage to hotel supplies and property Read daily logbook and memos and initial them. Arrange for special services that may be requested by the guests. Deliver requested items to rooms if no house-person in on duty Inform the next shift of important facts and information. Comply with any additional requests or task presented by Supervisor and/or General Manager Requirements Able to lift up to 25 lbs Able to stand for up to 8 hours at a time Able to multitask (type, take phone calls, assist Guests, file paperwork) Able to work flexible hours/shifts and work on-call.
