We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to support order processing, shipment coordination, and customer communication for a manufacturing operation in Wisconsin. This contract position plays an important role in keeping customer orders accurate, deliveries on schedule, and service interactions attentive and responsive. The ideal candidate brings at least 2 years of experience in customer service and order entry, along with the ability to work across internal teams, carriers, and external partners to resolve issues efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of customer orders each day, from entry through release, to help ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Maintain order details in internal systems and third-party logistics platforms, updating records as needed to reflect changes or corrections.
- Investigate order issues such as shortages, delays, and discrepancies, then coordinate with the appropriate teams to reach resolution quickly.
- Provide customers and internal partners with clear updates on order progress, shipping activity, and expected delivery timing.
- Arrange pickup and delivery appointments with warehouses, distribution centers, customers, and transportation providers.
- Work closely with carriers and 3PL partners to oversee shipment movement and address transportation-related exceptions before they escalate.
- Administer freight charges on customer orders, review billing documents, and reconcile invoices against contracted rates and shipment records.
- Verify and improve the accuracy of customer, product, vendor, and transportation data, and assist with data preparation tied to organizational system initiatives.
- Deliver responsive service for inbound customer inquiries while partnering with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to improve service performance.
