RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB ACTIVITIES 1.
Answer incoming phone lines courteously and efficiently. 2. Type and prepare various communications. 3. Learn and maintain product knowledge. 4. Process customer orders through order entry system, per company standards. Including obtaining freight quotes, providing customer order, and working with freight companies to secure shipments. Freight companies include freight forwarders, common carriers, express carriers and contract carriers. 5. Process literature and sample requests as per protocol. 6. Perform special projects as necessary. 7. Maintain a neat, orderly and clean department and work environment. 8. Perform various duties and overtime as required. 9. Be familiar with and follow safety rules and emergency procedures. 10. Operate office equipment as required. 11. Create and maintain files; invoice & general files using established systems and appropriate computer programs. 12. Be knowledgeable of and assist with maintenance of customer notes in order entry system to ensure accurate and up-to-date contents. (i.e.: pricing notes, shipping instructions, and overall customer notes sections.) 13. Assist in the training of new personnel. Provide guidance on training guidelines as necessary. 14. Fulfill all aspects of customer service required for designated account(s). 15. Assist in the review process of shipping and ordering guidelines, vendor packets and maintain accurate files. 16. Maintain account files and distribute incoming support documentation to each respective department. 17. Attend sales meetings when appropriate.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum five years office & customer service experience including Office suite programs experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Ability to work with limited supervision is required. Professional, hard-working team player who is accurate, detail orientated and has advanced problem-solving skills. Self-motivated individual with effective written and verbal communication skills. Organized and dependable and must be able to work with all types of personalities and situations with the utmost professionalism and diplomacy.

Standard office equipment such as a computer, copier, scanner
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Hand-eye coordination for typing, ability to sit for long periods of time.
