Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - CVOR Job Type Contract Deliver critical care and advanced expertise as a cardiovascular operating room registered nurse within a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract role seeks an experienced RN with a specialization in CVOR nursing to provide comprehensive perioperative care, ensuring the highest clinical standards for surgical patients.
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time contract position May include on-call and float requirements within competency and qualifications
Qualifications:
Current RN licensure in good standing Demonstrated experience in CVOR nursing BLS and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain prior to start) Ability to perform independent and delegated nursing functions per state Board of Nursing guidelines Strong assessment, planning, and patient evaluation skills Proficient in health education, counseling, and patient advocacy Competency in documentation aligned with hospital and regulatory standards Flexibility to adapt to changing department needs, including floating
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient progress Administer therapy and treatment in direct or consultative roles Provide health teaching and counseling to patients and families Monitor and update therapy and treatment plans in collaboration with the surgical team Refer patients for further evaluation or intervention as clinically indicated Maintain accurate, compliant medical records Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization through professional conduct and service behaviors This opportunity offers a challenging and rewarding setting for nurses passionate about surgical care and patient advocacy.
