CVOR RN in Cottondale, AL

Category Nursing - RN - CVOR Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity available for a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) care on a contract basis. This position requires adaptability and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Candidates must be prepared to float to other units and hospitals as needed, ensuring consistent support where patient care is required most.

Schedule:

5x8 hour shifts weekly (40 hours total) Includes required holidays Every other weekend rotation

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and deliver compassionate nursing care, upholding professional standards. Foster positive, therapeutic relationships with patients and families. Provide leadership by articulating care expectations, delegating, supervising, and supporting nursing team members. Supervise and direct LPNs, PCAs, Ortho Techs, and other non-licensed staff. Circulate within the CVOR and float to various units as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

Associate's degree in Nursing (required). Current Alabama Registered Nurse or Compact State license (no temporary licenses accepted; must be verifiable via NURSYS). Valid BLS and ACLS from AHA or Red Cross. At least 2 years of RN experience; exceptional candidates with 18 months' experience under the highest professional license, including 1 year of recent CVOR experience, will also be considered. Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Strong leadership and organizational capabilities.
