Known for its lush scenery and proximity to parks, rivers, and exciting cultural attractions, Cottondale offers travel nurses the perfect balance of professional challenges and rewarding downtime. Experience a thriving Emergency Department environment in a regional facility that serves as a Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center, treating more than 60,000 patients annually. As a traveling RN in the Emergency Department, you'll collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and fellow nurses—broadening your clinical expertise while engaging with diverse leadership styles and workplace methodologies. This is an exceptional opportunity to build your resume, develop advanced trauma and emergency care skills, and enjoy unparalleled variety in your daily practice.
Schedule:
36 or 48 hours per week (your choice) Holidays as required Every other weekend
Professional Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced ED setting Float to other units or regional hospitals as needed, advancing your adaptability and versatility Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and foster best outcomes Maintain accurate medical records and uphold all state and facility protocols
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in nursing (required) Active Registered Nurse license (AL or Compact, no temporary licenses) Current
AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS
certifications and NIH/Red Cross certifications TNCC certification and SECURE certification (on site) At least 2 years' experience preferred; will consider 18 months' experience with 1 year in specialty
