Dairy Consultant We're looking for a Dairy Consultant to partner with progressive dairy operations and help drive herd performance, nutrition efficiency, and overall farm profitability. This role is hands-on and relationship-driven, working directly with dairy producers to turn data, nutrition, and management insights into real-world results. What you'll doNutrition & Ration Management:
Formulate and optimize dairy rations using industry tools and forage data to improve milk production, feed efficiency, and herd healthOn-Farm Consulting:
Visit farms regularly to evaluate feeding programs, cow comfort, and overall performance, and provide practical, timely recommendationsData-Driven Insights:
Analyze milk production, intake, and efficiency data to guide decision-making and track progress toward client goalsForage & Feed Strategy:
Support silage management, feed sourcing, and cost-effective ingredient decisionsClient Partnerships:
Build strong, trusted relationships with dairy owners and managers and develop long-term herd improvement plansCollaboration:
Work alongside internal teams, veterinarians, lenders, universities, and industry partnersBusiness Growth:
Support existing accounts while identifying opportunities to expand services and impact What we're looking for Degree in Dairy Science, Animal Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) Strong understanding of dairy nutrition and production systems Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with producers and teams Comfortable using ration software, Excel, and data tools Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, solutions-focused mindset Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a field-based role Details Field-based role with frequent farm visits and travel Early mornings, flexible hours, and occasional weekends based on client needs Passion for dairy and helping farms succeed is essential If you want a role where nutrition, data, and relationships directly impact farm success, we'd love to connect.Similar jobs in Loyal, WI
