GENERAL SUMMARY
This 2-year TERM position provides ongoing support and administration for the NEA suite of field tools which includes NEA VAN, EveryAction, Mobilize America and others.MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired. Three years of experience in data systems and support. Ability to use and navigate VAN, EveryAction, Mobilize America and other field tools. Skill in using spreadsheets and SalesForce Case Management. Exceptional problem solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
(NOTE:
Most but not necessarily all of the following functions will apply to all positions included under this job description.) Ability to collaborate with colleagues, subject matter experts and vendors to resolve complex issues related to field tools. Provide technical support to NEA and affiliate staff on the field tools. Work with third party vendors to develop and/or integrate their applications. Collaborate with the data processing team to ensure data is entering the field tools correctly. Collaborate with the reporting & analytics team to ensure data is available for accurate reporting. Stays current on emerging software technologies, methodologies and products as they become available, working to apply these new technologies to projects as the needs arise; evaluating software products and technologies to satisfy business needs.OTHER JOB DUTIES
Edit and write documents for use by NEA. Perform other duties as required.SELECTION CRITERIA
Tier 1 (Essential): Significant experience with membership and/or voter file data systems with a high priority placed on experience with VAN, Catalist I/O, or EveryAction. Experience using Salesforce Cases case management. Experience troubleshooting data synchronization across multiple systems. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple complex issues simultaneously under stringent timeframes with changing priorities. Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff. Tier 2 (Significant): Strong writing and editing skills. Knowledge of the current political climate and NEA's role in the upcoming elections. Tier 3 (Desirable): Knowledge of the Center for Innovation and Technology's strategic focus, mission and programs.SUPERVISION RECEIVED
The work is normally carried out under moderate supervision and work is reviewed as it progresses.WORKING CONDITIONS
Work in office environment with frequent computer usage. Occasional overnight travel. Job is sedentary.
