Database Administrator

ID# [41696914] - Database Administrator- Design and modify computer databases per specifications. Periodically monitor and test databases for optimal performance. Conduct performance tuning and load balancing. Create backup and disaster recovery plan for databases. Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases. Write and code logical and physical database descriptions. Specify users and user access levels for each segment of database. Approve, schedule, and plan, the installation new databases. The databases are typically large, enterprise-level systems and support regular business operations as well as reporting needs. The database sizes range anywhere from a few hundred gigabytes to a few terabytes. The structure is usually a mix of transactional data, customer or product information, workflow data, logs, and other operational data. Because of the size, the databases tend to have a lot of interconnected tables, stored procedures, indexes, and other components that need regular tuning to keep performance stable. The systems are large and complex enough that they need ongoing performance checks, maintenance, and coordination with different teams.

Requirements :

Master''s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science or related and 2 years of progressively related software development experience including at least 2 years with ASP.NET, Azure Cloud Services, Azure DevOps, C#, CSS, Fiddler, JavaScript, JSON, Nunit, Postman, ReSharper, RESTful API, Swagger, T-SQL, Visual Studio, XML and at least 1 year with Angular JS, 4.0, JQuery , LINQ, PowerShell, WCF. As equivalent, employer will accept a related Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science or related and 5 years of related software development experience including at least 2 years with ASP.NET, Azure Cloud Services, Azure DevOps, C#, CSS, Fiddler, JavaScript, JSON, Nunit, Postman, ReSharper, RESTful API, Swagger, T-SQL, Visual Studio, XML and at least 1 year with Angular JS, 4.0, JQuery , LINQ, PowerShell, WCF. •Work is at unanticipated project sites throughout the US, with infrequent relocations. No other travel is involved.
