Day Porter/Janitor - Johnson City, NY (Mon-Fri, 4pm-11pm, $17/hr)

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a full time janitor. As a janitor, you will be responsible for facilities maintenance and ensuring a clean and safe environment for our staff and visitors. This is an important role that contributes to the overall cleanliness and appearance of our client's facility.

Duties:

• Perform cleaning tasks, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when supplies need to be replenished
• Follow established safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
• Assist with floor care duties such as buffing, waxing, and carpet cleaning

Skills:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:

• Previous experience in commercial or custodial cleaning preferred
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
