With locations in Calgary, Canada, Coburg, Oregon, and Phoenix, Arizona. We offer a clean and safe work environment. Day Shift Pack Helper Monday - Thursday 7am - 5pm The Pack Helper completes the packaging process of aluminum extrusions according to customer order sheets and packaging specifications. General Duties and responsibilities Read packing instructions from tickets and EPICS system. Enter production information into EPICS. Operate forklifts to move materials. Work with the Material Handler to package materials. Use measurement equipment to check the quality and specifications of extruded orders before packaging.

Follow order specifications for packaging:

interleaf extruded bundles with paper, plastic, cardboard or batten. Use a band saw to cut wood pieces used to assemble packages. Use a hand roller to wrap the end and center-point of materials with stretch wrapping. Other duties as assigned. Skills Detailed oriented individual able to frequently perform multiple tasks at a given time. Able to independently perform simple calculations. Communicate well and interact with others effectively. Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent. Manufacturing/Production/Warehouse experience required. Working Environment Exposed to a production environment which includes noise, moving machinery, forklifts and fluctuations in temperature. Personal Protective Equipment provided. Physical Requirements Frequent walking, standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion and ability to lift, push, pull at least 25 pounds. APEL Extrusions Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
