Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Daycare Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a nurturing environment for young children to learn, grow, and thrive. In this role, you will support classroom activities, assist with daily care routines, and contribute to a safe and engaging space that promotes childhood development. Your positive energy and commitment will make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that foster social, emotional, and cognitive development Support children with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, and nap time to ensure comfort and safety Engage children in play-based learning experiences that encourage exploration and creativity Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and needs to inform teaching strategies Support behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions among children Collaborate with team members to plan activities that meet developmental milestones and individual needs Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques Certification in first aid and CPR is required or obtainable upon hire Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus Strong classroom management skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members Ability to maintain a nurturing attitude while enforcing safety protocols and behavior guidelines

From $16.00 per hour
