Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Daycare Floater to join our vibrant early childhood education team! In this energetic role, you will serve as a versatile team member, providing essential support across multiple classrooms and age groups. Your enthusiasm and flexibility will help ensure a smooth and enriching experience for every child, whether they are infants, toddlers, or preschoolers. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in childcare, classroom management, and early childhood development while making a positive impact on young learners' lives. Duties Assist in supervising children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Support classroom teachers by helping with activities, mealtime, nap time, and diapering routines Step into different classrooms as needed to maintain consistent supervision and support staff during busy periods Engage children in age-appropriate play, learning activities, and social interactions that promote development and curiosity Maintain a clean, organized environment by assisting with classroom sanitation and setup of educational materials Observe children's behavior and developmental milestones to inform teachers and caregivers Follow all health and safety protocols diligently, including first aid procedures when necessary Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations using first aid skills Compassionate caregiving skills tailored to working with individuals with disabilities or special needs if applicable Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and engage positively with children and families Flexibility to adapt to changing classroom needs and support multiple age groups seamlessly Join us in creating a nurturing environment where young children can thrive!
