Daycare Teacher Assistant

GENERAL FUNCTION

: The Daycare Teacher Assistant is responsible for assisting in providing a safe, consistent and academically stimulating environment at assigned child care site. This job is performed to standard when all work is completed accurately and on time, with minimal supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requires High School Diploma or GED and 2 years' experience working with children per DHS regulations. (2500 verified hours experience in childcare) Effective Communication; written, oral and through presentations Requires current Pediatric First Aid/CPR/ED certifications Must have strong collaborative work ethic Ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles

RESPONSIBILITIES

Promotes youth development, healthy living and social responsibility in all job-related functions. Actively assists with all daily activities including but not limited to supervision of children, maintaining site, implementing lesson plans, etc. Assists in ensuring center's compliance with all
