Reporting directly to the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Dean of the Collegeof Business and Enterprise provides strategic, academic and administrative leadership for the College. This role is responsible foradvancing academic excellence, fostering innovation and supporting student success. The Dean serves as the chief advocate for the Collegeand ensures alignment with institutional mission, values and long-term strategic priorities. The Dean oversees faculty, academicprograms, budgeting and external partnerships, while promoting a collaborative, student-centered environment. This position requires avisionary and entrepreneurial leader with strong operational and interpersonal skills who can drive growth, support faculty development andenhance program quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Strategy Provide vision and strategicdirection for the College Lead academic planning, program development and innovation Serve as a member of University'sAcademic Council Collaborate with other academic and administrative leaders Academic Oversight Supervise academic programs, curriculum development and program assessment Ensure compliance with accreditation standardsand lead program reviews Oversee doctoral and graduate programs within the College Promote academic rigor, teachingexcellence and research productivity Faculty Leadership & Development Recruit, hire and retainhigh-quality faculty Oversee faculty orientation, evaluation and promotion processes Support professional developmentand continuous improvement Budget & Operations Manage and administer the College's operating budget Engage in strategic financial planning and resource allocation Partner with University leadership on financial andoperational priorities Support grant development and fundraising initiatives Student Success & Enrollment Support recruitment, retention and student success initiatives Promote a student-centered culture and positivelearning environment Collaborate on enrollment strategies and program growth, including the recruitment of international studentsand managing programs that attract globally External Engagement Serve as an ambassador for the Collegeto external stakeholders Build partnerships with industry, community organizations and alumni Support development andfundraising efforts Additional Duties Serve on University committees as assigned Promote aculture of respect, integrity and collaboration Perform other duties as assigned by University leadership
REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONS
Earned doctorate in a business, economics or a technology related discipline Academic credentialsconsistent with appointment at the rank of Professor Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in academicadministration Demonstrated experience in budgeting, strategic planning and personnel management Strong communication,leadership and organizational skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 3-5
years' experience in higher educationleadership Background in accreditation processes (e.g., IACBE, ACBSP or AACSB) Record of scholarly research andpublication Experience with online, hybrid and traditional instructional models Demonstrated success in fundraising,partnerships and program growth
