Beelman provides transportation services for cargo and goods shipped via barges. These are at-terminal positions. NO traveling with or living on any maritime vessels.

Schedule :

Monday

• Friday, 5:00am
• 3:00pm with occasional weekend/holiday/night shift work.

Pay :

$23

• $27/hr. Based on Experience Job Responsibilities
• Work inside the terminal and on barges docked at the terminal
• Work outside and will be exposed to all types of weather conditions
• Load and unload barges
• General housecleaning of premises including shoveling, mowing, and cleaning equipment
• Conduct light maintenance of plant equipment including greasing, scraping, painting, and small repairs
• Proficiency or willingness to be trained in operating skid steers, forklifts, and frontend loaders is preferred
• Must be willing and able to work weekends, holiday, and night shift work when required
• Must be willing to travel out of town to our Chicago River Terminal if the need arises
• Must be willing and able to perform all other duties as assigned by management. General Requirements
• Prior deckhand experience preferred but not required
• Must possess a current and valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation
• Must be able to speak, read, and understand the English language
• Must be a willing team member with the ability and willingness to learn and follow directions
