OVERVIEW

:: Operates a hi reach forklift in the freezer moving pallets to/from production areas and freezer bays.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

:: Removes pallets from the production floor and carefully places them in the correct bay in the freezer for future shipment. Properly inspects equipment to ensure they are in optimum operating condition. Notifies supervisor and/or lead of any issues with the forklift or malfunction(s). Safely operates high-reach forklifts under OSHA and Case Farms guidelines. Adheres to all safety requirements including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), preventing and reporting unsafe acts/conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures, and Process Safety Management-related matters. Maintains a clean, uncluttered, and safe work area. Additional warehouse, inventory, or lift-related tasks may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

:: Minimum 18 years of age. Legally authorized to work in the United States. Ability to read and write legibly. Basic math functions and skills. Prior forklift experience required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Agility to negotiate around moving machinery and people. May be exposed to temperatures of -10 degrees Fahrenheit or colder. May handle product -10 degrees to 35 degrees Fahrenheit.
